Military Girlfriend
Anonymous asked: Do u ever feel like it trying to be happy and alright but feel like its wrong in some way cuz he's working so hard and is so alone?
I’m not quite sure what you are saying, but what I gather from this is that you want to know if I ever felt bad that he is working hard and is still alone a lot.
If that’s your question I would say that it does get to me sometimes, but the thing is this is what he chose. He wanted to do this and he was aware of what he would have to give up, as was I when I was in the relationship. Yes it sucks and the rewards are not very common, but it really is worth it to both of us. We have talked about it a lot and we would rather be apart and facing these challenges than take the easy way out. Every risk is a risk because of the rewards.

Anonymous asked: "technically everyone is infantry." um... no?
So this may look weird, but let me explain. This is a saying that my guys platoon has in regards to deployment. It means that regardless of your MOS you still have to be proficient in your weapon because you will be carrying one when you are deployed. It doesn’t matter where you are when you are deployed you still have a chance of dying or killing someone. That’s what it means, not that every is an infantryman.

He’s been gone for a week and I’ve had no way of contacting him.
It’s been hard, but hey I’m strong I can make it.
He’s home near the end of the month, but that seems like forever.
I’m stronger than you think.
Don’t try to break me down because it is you who will be broken.
d0nt-w0rry- asked: I have a brother who is at army basic right now and my brother is my best friend. I miss him soo much. Both of my parents were in the army and I know what it's like to have them be gone and to never be around them, but I'm just having a really hard time dealing with my brother being gone. I see how strong you are. It is so inspiring and I was just wondering, how do you do it?
Honestly, I cry a lot and have a lot of days that I am down, but I make sure that I have more days where I am happy than sad. Having him gone is really hard to handle, but its the positives that get me through the day.
Things like going to the movies with my best friend or a concert with my sister. He may not be involved in those things, but they help me pick myself up when I’m down and make it through the next problem.

Anonymous asked: My guy is in the army national guard, and he is leaving soon for basic but he has been going for training once a month until he leaves. Will he be at the fort for basic?
He will be at a fort for basic, but there is no specific one. He may already know which one. The training that he is doing is to prepare him for basic, but it is not part of basic training.

Anonymous asked: When my guy (in the army national guard) goes to basic this summer will I be able to contact him?
It really just depends on who’s in charge of this group. My guy was able to write me letters and call me most Sundays, but there were people in the same place as him just with someone else running things and they weren’t allowed anything.

My guy have been together for three years. As far as the whole ex thing goes I didn’t have any problems with his exs, but mine never really treated me the best so he had a very hard time with him. I didn’t live very far away from my ex so he was always trying to get back together even though my guy and I were already dating.
