Military Girlfriend

I know all of you are worried about what it is going to be like dealing with life without your guy being a physical part of it. For some of you he hasn’t even left yet and you are already scared that you won’t know what to do with yourself while he is gone, but I’m going to tell you a secret that I personally didn’t find out until after my guy had come home again. You need this time for yourself.

While he’s gone you get the opportunity to think about who you are with and without your guy. What about you changes when you are with him? Are you a nicer or meaner person when he is around? Are you more of a girly girl or a tomboy when he isn’t? Things like that.

If you like the changes your relationship has made:Try to put that change into your daily life. Be that better version of yourself while still being the you that you actually want to be. It will also help you when your guy comes home because you won’t have to remember how to be around him.

If you don’t like the changes your relationship has made:You’ve got some thinking to do. If its something that you feel like you can change do it. For example, a lot of girls who are dating someone in the military have said that they act a lot tougher around their guys now because they feel like they need to, but when they are by themselves or with anyone else they are more of a girly girl. If you want to be that girly girl be that way around your guy. I suggest slowly working it into your relationship when he gets back so he doesn’t think that you drastically changed who you were while he was gone. It will take some time, but I’m sure he will be fine with who you are.

I know it’s hard to think of what it would be like to be without your guy for so long, but I’m telling you right now, it does have its benefits (and no I’m am not talking about cheating). Whether you like it or not he is going to be gone. You might as well do something while he is.
